Our Chianti Classico 2015 is a pure Sangiovese: for 6 months it is passed in oak barrels with at least 3 months in bottle before reaching our tables.
Each hectare of vineyard registered in the Chianti Classico produces an average of about 7000 bottles a year.
Fattoria di Corsignano choose to work with low yields per hectare, with a shorter pruning that allows an average production of 6000 bottles per hectare.
Did you know that…
According to the Chianti regulations, each hectare of vineyards can produce a maximum of 75 tons of grapes, the equivalent of 52 hectoliters of wine equal to about 7000 bottles of 75 cl. The disciplinary foresees the registration of the vines to the vineyards register with specific to their location, to the number of plants implanted, to the type of plant depending on the vine. So it is all recorded and reported in the provincial vineyard register. Every year a production report is presented, declaring the production of grapes and wine annually. In addition, the bottling registers (number of bottled bottles) and marketing (number of wines and bottles sold) must be kept in the cellar. All this to guarantee compliance with the regulations and the protection of the Chianti Classico wine and his consumer.
Tests and quality control for our organic wines do not stop…
